A joyful selection of LGBTQ+-inclusive picture books, usually starring LGBTQ+ characters in leading roles. Some have significant LGBTQ+ secondary characters. None of them relegate LGBTQ+ characters to the background. There are books which foreground LGBTQ+ identities as well as books in which the LGBTQ+ representation are ‘incidental’ for eg: a family which just so happens to have two dads or two mums; marriage celebrations where there just so happens to be two brides or two grooms.
